HOW VOTERESCUE SPENT ITS SUMMER VACATION
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY
Aug. 7, 2009

We hope all of you are enjoying the "lazy" days of summer— whether you live here in Central Texas where triple digit temperatures have been the norm this year or you live in a place where cooler temperatures prevail. Here at VoteRescue, it's been anything but "lazy," but it's all been for the good of our cause. Sit back...we're now going to tell you "How VoteRescue Spent Its Summer Vacation."

Don't worry - we've kept it short and sweet.

The short part...
Looking back on all that VoteRescue has accomplished with your help over the past five years in our fight to restore the control of our elections to The People - the parallel elections, the exit polling, the bills in the Texas Legislature and the countless other public education and advocacy activities - it's clear to see how all that was groundwork for what we have before us now: a nationwide hand-counted paper ballot election!

The sweet part...
ALL OF YOU will be able to participate in this history-making event!

Yes, VoteRescue needs YOU to help run the election which will occur on Saturday, October 10, 2009, in Voting Centers throughout Texas (or, if you don't live in Texas, in your state, too.) In fact, the number of Voting Centers depends entirely on how many citizens answer the call to help.

Now, here's the back story...
Bob Schulz of We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education has for years been petitioning the federal government for Redress of Grievances (as per our First Amendment Right), demanding that the government obey the Constitution and be accountable to the people. With very few exceptions, our "elected" officials have failed to respond as they are required to do.

As a result, Bob has spearheaded the convening of a modern-day Continental Congress 2009 which will occur this coming November 9th through the 24th. Three delegates elected from each state - and from the District of Columbia - will gather for the purpose of (1) publicly enumerating the violations of the Constitution by our government officials, (2) debating the options We, The People, possess to reverse our descent into tyranny, and (3) emerging with a plan that will peacefully restore constitutional order.

It's important for you to know...
All of the sessions of the CC2009 will be streamed LIVE via the internet so that anyone with computer and internet access can personally witness what will unfold during these two crucial weeks. To learn about the Continental Congress 2009, go to www.givemeliberty.org.

So, how did Vote Rescue get involved?
Because of our years of election integrity work and meeting Bob Schulz in the process, VoteRescue was invited to the initial Continental Congress 2009 gathering of leaders from around the country this past May on Jekyll Island, Georgia. It was at this event that we offered to plan and oversee the delegate elections. Our offer was accepted, so we developed a plan for a network of Voting Centers (polling places) throughout every state so CC2009 voters would not have to travel more than two hours to participate.

Our first major task was to document the procedures for all Voting Centers to follow for the CC2009 Delegate Elections. It is called the "Election Procedures Handbook for the Election of Delegates to the Continental Congress 2009" and can be found on line to read and/or download at www.cc2009.us/resources/election-handbook.

What's in the Election Handbook?
The Handbook details, step-by-step with important milestone dates, what needs to be done to be prepared to have a fully transparent, citizen-run election on October 10, 2009. The election procedures are actually quite simple, as the CC2009 delegates will be elected in an easily-understood and totally verifiable election—the polar opposite of our public elections which have been hijacked for years by a handful of corporations through the use of their electronic voting systems which can be undetectably tampered with and which count all our votes in secret.

Each CC2009 Voting Center needs one Team Leader, who in turn will recruit six volunteers (plus two alternates, if possible). The duties of each member of the Voting Center Team are spelled out in the Handbook and all forms that will be used on Election Day are also included.

What else is VoteRescue doing for CC2009?
In addition to our authorship of the Handbook, VoteRescue is working closely with all the CC2009 State Coordinators who are in charge of identifying and overseeing the Team Leaders of all the Voting Centers in their respective states. Some State Coordinators have recruited an Election Coordinator who has taken over these state-level responsibilities.

In fact, VoteRescue has taken on the duties of the Election Coordinator of Texas so we are in the process of identifying Voting Center Team Leaders throughout this great state of ours which is why we are contacting all of you now. We currently have a Team Leader in Amarillo, Austin, Clarendon, Dallas, Houston, Lubbock, Jefferson, and Tyler. As you can easily see, we need many more people to help cover this big state of ours. And in the larger cities, we are hoping to have several Voting Centers to accommodate the turnout, so don't hesitate volunteering if you live in Austin, Dallas or Houston.

Would you consider heading up a Voting Center in your area of Texas?
People who have helped us over the years with our parallel elections and exit polls will tell you that their volunteer experiences with VoteRescue have been some of the most gratifying of their lives. Hearing these stories is what keeps VoteRescue going strong and getting ever closer to reaching our goal that someday soon we, the citizens, will once again be overseeing our elections and will know that all our votes are actually being counted as cast. We hope you will join with your fellow citizens to help make the CC2009 Hand-Counted Paper Ballot Delegate Election an enormous success!
