EXIT POLL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MARCH 2ND!
March 1, 2010
Over the several years that VoteRescue has executed election monitoring actions to start rebuilding the "the people's oversight" in our elections, there has always been one element missing: a candidate who actually requested this type of help from us and who was willing to fight for her/his candidacy if sufficient evidence of fraud was exposed through our efforts...
...UNTIL NOW!
Now, Debra Medina's campaign has requested that VoteRescue offer assistance with the upcoming March 2 Primary Elections to do what we can to help prevent a stolen election (or elections!) right here in our home state of Texas.
After some deliberation and consultation with several of our colleagues in other states, VoteRescue has agreed to help the Medina campaign execute Citizen Election Verification Exit Polls (EVEP) of the Gubernatorial Primary Races on March 2 at various polling places in several counties around our great state. (Exact locations to be determined.)
We are sending out this call for volunteers to our list and to our coalition members and ask you to forward this to any other lists you're on.
Without revealing specific precincts at this time, the Exit Poll effort will focus on Bexar, Collin, Dallas, Harris, and Tarrant counties.
VoteRescue will provide the procedures, protocol and training information for all EVEP Volunteers. The Medina campaign will be sending out a parallel call for volunteers through their new Ballot Security Team Coordinator, Keri Rosen (kerirosen75@gmail.com or 713-409-0075). Keri will organize and oversee the training of the EVEP teams.
If you would like to volunteer to help execute an Exit Poll on Election Day, you can either contact Vickie Karp of VoteRescue at vickievoter@gmail.com or 512-775-3737 ASAP OR Keri Rosen at kerirosen75@gmail.com, (713-409-0075) and let us know:
- In which county you could work:
Bexar, Collin, Dallas, Harris or Tarrant
- Which time shift you could work:
6:30 am to 11 am
11 am to 4pm
4 pm to 8 pm (shift includes hand counting exit poll ballots)
ALL DAY - Would you be willing to be a "Team Captain" for your polling place?
Again, please come out and have some great fun on Primary Election Day with others who care about our elections! PLEASE respond to this e-mail and INDICATE WHERE YOU LIVE AND THE SHIFT YOU CAN WORK.
Thank you for your continued commitment to election integrity!
