Hi, All! As mentioned earlier this week, we need some help to conduct an
election for Texans for Accountable Government (TAG) (www.TAGTexas.org)
next Sunday at Scholz's Beer Garden at 17th and San Jacinto. The times
that I mentioned in my e-mail request earlier in the week have been
changed, so wanted you all to know who we need and when you'll be needed:
We need just ONE PERSON to arrive early with Karen, around 3:45pm, and
able to stay until 6:30, to help coordinate with the TAG volunteers for
ballot distribution to meeting attendees. I think we may have this
volunteer already (Laura W?) but just in case, please let me know if you
are available for this time slot. Then, we need 7-8 or more volunteers to
help count ballots; this shift will be between 7:00 to 10:00 pm (to
oversee casting of ballots starting around 7:30, and count in two teams
of four, or more teams if we have enough people, between approximately 8
or 8:30 to 9 or 10 if a second count is warranted because of a close
election.) NOW'S YOUR CHANCE to help execute a real, transparent
hand-counted paper ballot election! Please let me know asap - and THANK
YOU in advance! ALSO: Don't forget our VoteRescue meeting Tuesday nite:
6:30 - 8:30pm at Brave New Books, 1904 Guadalupe, Austin. We'll be
showing a new Greg Palast film release, "The Election Files - the Theft
of 2008"! Vickie (and Karen)775-3737
