       What are some election officials doing to reclaim our elections?

       What can both election officials and citizens do in time for
2008 to limit vendor dependency and reclaim PUBLIC ownership of
elections.

Special guest, Ellen Theisen, co-director of VotersUnite!
(votersunite.org), will discuss a new VotersUnite! report that looks
at the depth of vendor-dependency, some repercussions, and election
officials who are resisting corporate control of our elections. From
the report: "Citizens both private and public are beginning to realize
that they can and must reassert their ownership of elections and
demand transparent, citizen oversight of elections."
