VoteRescuers,

I received the note below from one of our mailing list members and I
apologize for sending out the original message with so little guidance.
I had to get it out fast at the time. I appreciate the feedback.
Here's a little more help.

Once you have reached the Judiciary Committee's website through this
link http://judiciary.house.gov/ <http://judiciary.house.gov/>, find
"Contact" in the list on the left side of the page. When you scroll
over it, two items will pop up. Click on "E-mail/Contact Info". A form
will come up. Fill out all of the boxes with an asterisk. In the "Your
Comments" box, You can just simply say something such as this:

*/Dear Members of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights,
and Civil Liberties,

I urge you to pass the resolution authorizing the Chairman of the
Judiciary Committee// to issue a subpoena to J. Kenneth Blackwell for
his testimony and related documents at a hearing before your
subcommittee regarding voter suppression. The entire country deserves
answers to all the questions regarding the 2004 Election in Ohio - the
state whose outcome decided the winner of the presidential race. We
need these answers _now_ so that similar misdeeds can be stopped before
the 2008 Election is underway.

Sincerely,/*

I hope this helps.

> /Karen, /
/I am going to attempt to comply with your request but many of us find
such a web page confusing and a little tricky. Please remember many of
us you contact are not "hot dogs" on the use of the computer. Please
give some consideration to giving us dummies the option of adding our
names and email addresses to a prepared text that states exactly what it
is we want to say in support of your request and an exact address to
send it to. For those more proficient, they can do their own thing with
their own tailored request but I feel it would let a whole lot more
people quickly respond who feel intimidated by writing their own
message. I know it is not as good with a pre-composed message but they
get results by shear numbers anyway - ask the NRA and GOA! Thank you
for sending this to me.
