[Voterescue] Fwd: ACLU files suit to block paper ballots

/Maria,

Thanks for posting this article on the mailing list.  This is totally 
absurd in so many ways!  It shows the depth to which people have been 
brainwashed to rely on machines to do their thinking for them.

How about people just simply "pretending" that their ballot was 
"rejected" and automatically review their ballot for errors BEFORE 
casting it.  Under Texas law, voters are permitted up to THREE paper 
ballots if they continue to make mistakes.  Of course, only one of them 
is cast in the end.

To want to keep ANY type of machine that counts votes in secret simply 
because that machine will do the ballot review work for the voter, makes 
me want to scream!  We _must_ take the counting of our votes back from 
the machines or else we are truly doomed to continue having // our 
government officials (s)elected for us by the special interests that 
love running the "show" for their benefit, not ours.
