VoteRescuers - We'll have our big planning session for Election Day this
Tuesday at Brave New Books, 1904 Guadalupe, Austin, Texas this Tuesday
from 6:30 to 8:30 pm - PLEASE COME AND BRING A FRIEND! We have a new plan
for Election Day that we want to share with you, and as usual, we'll need
all the volunteers we can get! Also:  Hope you'll respond to our call for
"Would you volunteer to work Election Day if you could hand-count paper
ballots?"  , sent in an e-mail earlier this evening.  One more tidbit:  I
will be on the radio in Hartford, Connecticut tomorrow morning
(Monday) with the Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz; I was
invited on the show to see if I could throw some "Hardball" questions her
way about the highly-hackable Diebold Optical Scan Counters she bought in
2006 for use in the entire state of Connecticut.  The station is WCCC,
"The Rock", with Sebastian, at 8 am Central.  If they have a "listen
live" feature at their website, you may want to listen in, I hope to
ruffle some feathers! See you Tuesday! Vickie (and Karen!)
